Glasgow

Scotland’s largest city, and the third biggest population anywhere in the UK. Glasgow has received a string of fancy awards including City of Culture, Capital of Sport, UNESCO City of Music and a  City of Architecture and Design. It has often been referred to as a cultural smorgasboard and, at least in our opinion, it’s hard to beat, you can find a bit of everything!

Glasgow started with humble origins, once but a wee rural fishing village on the Clyde. Also claimed to have been founded by Saint Mungo in the 6th century and then throughout the medieval period the area became famous for the Glasgow Fair when everyone would go “doon the watter” for the market and entertainment. The first bridge over the Clyde came in 1285 and the university in 1451. After the 1707 Act of Union, Glasgow took off as one of the most important ports in Europe and the next three hundred years of rapid population growth, transformed the city in to the engineering, ship building, textile and chemical giant of the Industrial Revolution. Famous for its speedy “patter” the Glaswegian accent has been baffling outsiders for almost as long as anyone can remember but dinna fash yirsel, they’re a friendly bunch.

We’re ready to help with any windscreen damage in Glasgow and surrounding regions including Busby, Clarkston, Giffnock, Netherlee, Newton Mearns and Thornliebank, so give us a ring!
